Who Should Join

NAMHP membership is open exclusively to licensed mental health clinicians.
This includes:
  • Social Workers

  • Psychologists

  • Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs)

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs)

  • Psychiatrists

  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners

In addition to individual clinicians, NAMHP welcomes licensed providers who also serve in leadership or ownership roles, including:
  • Private Practice Owners – Licensed clinicians who own or operate solo or group practices and are seeking advocacy, resources, and tools to support their business success.

  • Clinical & Organizational Leaders – Licensed clinicians serving as clinical directors, administrators, or leaders of community mental health programs who want to stay informed and actively advocate for policies that protect providers and improve access to care.

  • Advocates for the Profession – Licensed clinicians who are passionate about protecting clinical autonomy, fighting for fair pay, and ensuring quality mental health care remains accessible and provider-driven.

To qualify for membership, you must hold a current mental health license in good standing.
