Your support fuels systemic reforms and empowers mental health providers nationwide.

Supporting NAMHP as a Business Contribution

Supporting NAMHP isn’t just impactful—it’s also a sound business decision. Here’s why:

Donations or membership dues paid to NAMHP may be classified as a business expense under IRS rules for 501(c)(6) organizations. Many businesses find these contributions align with advancing their professional interests, similar to expenses for professional association memberships or industry advocacy.

If you have questions about how to classify or deduct these expenses, we encourage you to consult with a tax professional or financial advisor. Your support not only strengthens NAMHP’s advocacy and education efforts but also demonstrates your commitment to advancing the mental health profession.

Our Journey and Growth

From Grassroots to Impactful Advocacy

In just one year, NAMHP has transformed from a grassroots movement into a powerful national organization

In March 2024, in response to the Change Healthcare Data Breach, a small group of providers came together to find a path forward for real change. By July 2024, we made the decision to formally organize as a nonprofit, multidisciplinary professional organization, uniting providers from many different disciplines. NAMHP became the first and only multidisciplinary group dedicated to addressing the three core areas of advocacy we stand for today: fair reimbursement, provider protections, and reducing administrative burdens.

Over the past year, NAMHP has made significant strides in building a strong foundation for advocacy, education, and professional support. Here are some of our key achievements:

  • Established as a 501(c)(6) organization to lead systemic change.

  • Built a professional communication infrastructure to connect providers across the country.

  • Developed a comprehensive policy framework to fight for fair pay, provider protections, and insurance reform.

  • Recruited regional leaders and volunteers to expand our reach and advocacy power.

  • Created a membership structure that will provide ongoing education, resources, and advocacy support to clinicians.

  • Grown a community of over 8,000 mental health providers ready to take action.

  • Secured strategic partnerships to offer exclusive benefits such as discounts on liability insurance, tech tools, and business resources.

  • Developed continuing education programs to provide free and low-cost CE courses aligned with our advocacy priorities.

  • Established key leadership and volunteer roles to ensure strong governance and operational growth.

  • Outlined a five-year financial and operational plan to ensure sustainability and long-term success.

  • Built a public relations and media strategy to increase visibility and influence in the mental health industry.

  • Began developing a national conference strategy to unite mental health professionals for networking, training, and advocacy.

  • Engaged with policymakers and industry leaders to advocate for fair reimbursement and better working conditions for providers.

Now, as we prepare to launch official NAMHP memberships, we need your support to turn our progress into lasting impact.

Why your support is critical now

We have accomplished so much with volunteer efforts and leadership donations, but launching a sustainable membership program requires essential resources. Your donation will help us:

  • Develop and finalize our Membership CRM to ensure a seamless sign-up and engagement process for providers.

  • Expand our continuing education offerings so members have access to high-quality, advocacy-aligned training.

  • Hire administrative and policy staff to strengthen our ability to advocate, educate, and support members.

  • Grow our strategic partnerships to offer members benefits such as insurance discounts, business resources, and exclusive training opportunities.

  • Launch grassroots advocacy campaigns to empower providers to fight for fair pay and better working conditions.

Now, as we prepare to launch official NAMHP memberships, we need your support to turn our progress into lasting impact. Your donation today will help solidify NAMHP as the leading voice for mental health providers, ensuring that clinicians everywhere have the resources, training, and advocacy support they need to build a sustainable and fulfilling career.
